I know we all get a little weird when money talk comes up. "Money doesn't buy happiness" and all that jazz. Sure, happiness is a state of mind — but money does buy you the freedom to pursue the things that actually bring you joy. A life lived on your own terms, not dictated by what's in your bank account.
And you don't realise how much that matters until life starts demanding more of you. When it's no longer a choice, but a non-negotiable.
Twelve years in sales and marketing for some of the world's biggest brands. Client relationships, marketing strategies, business operations, brand positioning, sales funnels… smashing every KPI they threw at me. In theory, I had it all figured out.
So when I started my wedding photography business, Luminous Moments, while still working full-time, I thought I had a solid head start. How hard could it be?
No salary safety net. No team to lean on. No one telling you what to do, when or how to do it. Just a whole lot of figuring it out on the fly (and f*cking it up).
So I knuckled down and went all in. I invested everything I had in myself and the business. Juggling a full-time corporate job on weekdays and shooting weddings on weekends — on top of your everyday adulting responsibilities, like keeping myself alive and the fridge full.
By my second year, I was making six figures and handed in my resignation.
Undercharging, saying yes to the wrong clients, winging it, and making do when you get stuck. Making just enough to get by. Because no one’s depending on you and you don't want to seem greedy when you're doing what you love.
The proud but starving artist mentality, right?
But what that actually creates is a business built on uncertainty. Not one that supports the life you truly want deep down.
I knew I wanted more than that. I wanted to build a business around the life I saw for myself, especially knowing I wanted a family. I didn't want to wait until I had kids to figure it out. I wanted it set up before, so when that time came, my business felt supportive and sustainable alongside motherhood. Not a means to an end.
My pricing, my positioning, how I communicate my value, and who I speak to.
Not just the revenue milestones. But a business that genuinely supports your life, gives you the freedom to show up fully for the people who matter most, and makes you wonder why you didn't back yourself sooner.
And that's when everything shifted. By my third year, I was banking $300K. By my fifth, $600K, with my team's support. All without burning out or sacrificing the life I worked so hard to build.
You’ve probably sat through courses and workshops that left you with more questions than answers, or worked with educators who made it all feel way more complicated than it needed to be.
I'm direct and confident, but I don't take myself too seriously.
Think less bossy energy, more best friend who'll call you out with love and genuinely celebrate every win with you.
I'm in your corner, always.
I’m a wife and a mum of two running a thriving, multiple six-figure business with a dedicated team. Not despite all of that, but alongside it.
I absolutely do believe that women can have it all, and I’m living proof.
I’ll tell you exactly how to get from A to B without the fluffy twinkle toes bullshit in between: no sugar coating, no jargon.
Just clear, honest guidance that comes from real experience, not theory. You’ll walk away from every lesson knowing exactly what to do next.
